NMN, short for β-nicotinamide mononucleotide, is a nucleotide naturally present in living organisms and serves as the direct precursor to NAD+. Product Functions and Mechanisms

NMN can directly enter cells via transporter proteins and be converted into NAD+ by NMNAT2. Alternatively, NMN may first be converted to nicotinamide riboside (NR) on the cell membrane surface, then taken up by cells in the form of NR, and subsequently converted into NAD+ through the actions of NRK and NMNAT2. Both NRKs and NMNATs are expressed across various organs and tissues, with the highest levels found in the liver.




Existing research data show that no abnormal fluctuations in serum aspartate aminotransferase (AST) or white blood cell count were observed in subjects five hours after oral administration of 500 mg NMN.
