Ampelopsin
Product Name: Ampelopsin
Latin Name:Ampelopsis Grossedentata
Active ingredient:Ampelopsin (Dihydromyricetin)
Ampelopsin, also known as dihydromyricetin, is a flavanonol. It is isolated from Ampelopsis grossedentata, which grows widely in the south of China. Traditionally, Ampelopsis grossedentata is used in China to treat pyretic fever and cough, pain in pharynx and larynx, and jaundice hepatitis. It is also used in nephritis, hepatitis, halitosis, and polyorexia prevention and treatment. Ampelopsin is the richest component found in Ampelopsis grossedentata. Biologically, recent studies have demonstrated that ampelopsin shows multiple health-benefiting activities, including antioxidative, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antimicrobial, cell death-mediating, and lipid and glucose-metabolism-regulatory activities.
Uses of Ampelopsin
Ampelopsin has been widely used as an anti-hangover supplement, used to reduce the negative effects of alcohol consumption. Many people use ampelopsin dietary supplements before drinking alcohol to help them avoid hangovers.
Ampelopsin improves liver function after alcohol consumption. It helps the liver process alcohol more quickly and efficiently, removing it from your system sooner.
Ampelopsin is also being researched for additional health benefits. Current research reviews on this supplement report anticancer, neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, antihypertensive, antioxidant, antibacterial and hepatoprotective mechanisms.
